my baby's favorite toy!

My son got this toy for christmas. I introduced him to it when he was 6 months old... it was instant love! He eats the reciever, smacks the phone, and makes it ring. The toy is wonderful, but I think the age range is off... it's better for babies (6 mo - 1 yr) than toddlers. Like others mentioned, I would either tie the pull string very short (in a complicated knot a baby can't untie) or better yet, cut it.
Chatter-'Phone Phun!

The Chatter telephone kept my three occupied for a good part of their first three years. Each child had one. It was a good pull-toy, it "talked" the child as it went (sometimes) bumping along and it gave the child great pleasure in hearing the ring as he/she dialed a number. It was small enough to take on trips and gave pleasure during the drive as well as during the visit to those of our destination (usually grandparents). Now, I have grandchildren of my own, and can't think of a more suitable, companionable, comforting toy. I do hope you will have more in stock soon. I'll keep checking. Thank you, Mrs. Jo McGarry
Old Style Phone

I didn't think I would find an old style rotary phone. I was happy to see that Fisher Price still made it! I wish it was wooden like the one I got my oldest child 30+ years ago. That phone lasted through both of my boys. I hope this plastic phone holds up as well. I bought this chatter phone for my grand children to play with when they come to Grama's house. I want them to see a real telephone and learn how to dial up numbers. I noticed the only other difference was that the receiver cord is shorter than I remember and you have to hold the phone when you talk into the mouth piece. This is a must have "old style" learning toy...thank you Fisher Price!!!!
A good old toy!!!! Thank GOD there are still a few left.

Got this toy for my grandson who loves phones. Was beyond excited that it still existed as his mom had one when she was little. It's nice to see a toy that isn't "high tech" or "super educational"....just a good old fashion toy that lets him use his imagination, learn hands on by doing and doesn't require batteries, etc etc. Think kids now adays don't get enough of that....everything is high tech and no chance for them to just plain be kids.
Still a favorite!

My daughter has played with this phone for over two years! Every time I try to give it away, she starts dragging it around the house again. For her, it is used mostly as a pull toy, but she has also made many calls to Grandma. Yes the phone cord is short (for safety reasons) but she'll carry on five-minute conversations with the whole phone dangling from her ear. Countless toys have passed through this house, but this phone is still a favorite!
