I bought two of these - one for a boy and one for a girl. I think after putting it together just a few times and decorating the car once or so, you'd be able to play with it as a toy car and roll it around, park it, etc, but that that's the extent of it. However, the tool is a learning tool for children and teaches how to use tools which is a good thing. I've also gotten a Handy Manny fix it center where the tool is a screwdriver and that is very challenging for my grandchild.
